Kruk2/jasna
Video restoration tool
Jasna is a free video restoration tool that detects mosaics (censored/blurred regions) in videos and images and restores just those areas using AI models, leaving the rest untouched. It offers a GUI app and CLI, runs locally on NVIDIA GPUs (experimental AMD support), includes a Segment Editor for selective restoration, live playback, and VR180 support, with an optional paid LTX model.
Why now: Not clear from the sources; the README highlights supporter-model licensing and recent benchmarks but no specific event driving attention.
Who it is for: People with capable NVIDIA or AMD GPUs who want to remove and restore mosaic-censored regions in their own videos and images locally.
