Agent tooling for generative LEGO mechanisms animations in Blender

ldraw-mecha is a Python toolchain where AI agents take an LDraw LEGO model file (.mpd), reverse-engineer its mechanical mechanisms from the source code, study and plan how components interact, then generate Blender Python scripts that build rigs and animate those mechanisms. Setup scripts install all dependencies locally, including Blender, LeoCAD, and the LDraw parts library.

Why now: It was shared on Hacker News as a Show HN demo of agents inferring and animating Lego mechanisms, and was recently updated.

Who it is for: LEGO hobbyists, Blender animators, and AI-agent developers who want to turn static LDraw models into animated 3D scenes.
