Learn to sing the songs you love. A free, open-source singing trainer for Mac that listens to the music you play.

OnKey is a free, open-source Mac singing trainer. You play a song in your own music app (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube) and sing along; OnKey listens to both, learns the melody and lyrics from one play, then shows scrolling note bars with your live pitch drawn over them, scoring every line. It runs locally on Apple Silicon, using vocal separation, CREPE pitch tracking, and a note model.

Why now: It was shared on Hacker News as a Show HN post by the developer, who describes building it because they're a bad singer — the demo of learning a song from one play is drawing attention.

Who it is for: Mac users with Apple Silicon who want to practice singing along to their own music library and see exactly where they're off-key.
