A language model that lives in a boot sector

bootgpt is a tiny char-level neural network that runs entirely from a PC's boot sector: a 510-byte hand-written x86 assembly MBR loads an int8-quantized single-hidden-layer model from subsequent sectors and generates a fake Linux boot log in 16-bit real mode. Python scripts generate training data, train the model, and verify the assembly's integer math matches character-for-character.

Why now: Fresh Show HN submission of a demoscene-style sizecoding feat: a working (if garbled) language model squeezed into a boot sector, no OS required.

Who it is for: Sizecoding, demoscene, and retro-computing enthusiasts who enjoy extreme low-level engineering stunts.
