Whole-disk file search for macOS: fuzzy names, typo tolerance, indexed content grep. ~1 ms over 8M files.

FSearch is a fast whole-disk file search tool for macOS, written in Rust. It indexes file names and text file contents so fuzzy, typo-tolerant searches (with filters like ext:, size:, grep:, regex:, sym:) return in about a millisecond over millions of files. It runs as a CLI with a background daemon, and is also usable as a Rust crate or via a socket/stdio API.

Why now: It's trending among newly starred repos and benchmarks itself against fff, claiming ~10x faster searches with lower memory use.

Who it is for: Mac developers and power users who want near-instant file and content search from the command line.
