tsc-ts is an experimental port of the TypeScript 7.0.2 compiler (tsgo, originally written in Go) rewritten in TypeScript, then compiled to native executables with scriptc. It is distributed via npm as tsc-ts, with per-platform binaries, and its scanner, parser, binder, module resolution, and diagnostics are validated against tsgo on TypeScript's ~12,500-file test corpus.
Why now: It is a new Vercel Labs experiment that recreates Microsoft's fast Go-based TypeScript compiler entirely in TypeScript while matching tsgo's behavior, which is notable given tsgo itself was created partly because the original TS codebase was slow.
