7th Ward

The Black Schoolhouse has opened a new art and design hub for young people in New Orleans' 7th Ward, a neighborhood with deep Black history. The project, reported by The Lens, aims to give local youth creative space rooted in the community's cultural heritage. It marks a new chapter for an organization tied to the area's longstanding Black educational and artistic traditions.
