The Mexican state of Guerrero is in the news on two fronts. Tropical storm systems, including Trudy and Hurricane Simón, are threatening the coast, with Simón blamed for one death and around 200 damaged homes near Acapulco, prompting Governor Evelyn Salgado to reinforce emergency measures.
