Arrested Memory

The family of Franky Garza marked what would have been his 25th birthday at his gravesite, more than a year after he was killed. His mother described him as 'my baby' while remembering his life. No one has been arrested in connection with his murder, and the family continues to seek answers and justice.

A man has been shot dead while families were gathered for a memorial service, according to BBC News. The attack took place as relatives had come together to remember a loved one, turning the gathering into the scene of a fatal shooting. Details about the victim, the location and any suspects have not been provided in the coverage cited, and it is not yet clear whether anyone has been arrested. The story is drawing attention because of the shocking timing of the killing during what should have been a peaceful family occasion.
