Pakistan has launched air strikes inside Afghanistan that caused fatalities, according to a BBC report. The strikes mark a serious escalation in tensions between the two neighbours, who have long traded accusations over cross-border militancy along the Durand Line. Details on casualties and the targets hit remain limited, and Afghan authorities have yet to issue a full response.
