French tennis fans have noticed a strange coincidence: many of the country's current players share the first name Arthur, including Arthur Fils, Arthur Rinderknech, Arthur Gea, Arthur Cazaux, Arthur Nagel, Arthur Weber and Arthur Bouquier, plus Arthur Fery, who competes for Britain. Commenters joke it reflects how small a world French tennis is, with one popular theory being that the name was simply fashionable for boys born in the early 2000s.
