The CNRS, with Le Monde, has released a short film looking at bats as living laboratories of evolution. The six-and-a-half-minute video explores how the animals' extraordinary diversity of diets, habitats and adaptations makes them a prime subject for studying evolutionary processes, with fieldwork taking in locations such as Trinidad and Tobago. It is being shared by French-speaking science and nature enthusiasts online.
