Cadence

SpaceX is reportedly planning an unusually rapid cadence for its Starship program, with three flights targeted within roughly five weeks. The schedule, if achieved, would mark a significant step-up in launch tempo for the world's most powerful rocket as the company works toward orbital refueling and reuse milestones. Space commentators are debating whether the ambitious timeline is realistic given past turnaround times between test flights.

Florida's Space Coast has recorded 58 rocket launches in 2026 so far, with more expected before the year ends, according to a photo roundup from the Orlando Sentinel. The tally highlights the region's growing role as the world's busiest launch corridor, driven by a rapid cadence of missions from Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center.

SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket launched a classified US spy mission, marking the company's third successful launch in quick succession and completing a rare tripleheader. Details of the payload, reportedly operated for US intelligence, remain secret, as is typical for national security launches. The back-to-back flights highlight SpaceX's rapid launch cadence and the Falcon Heavy's continued role in heavy-lift military and intelligence missions.
