Google has confirmed it will continue supporting ChromeOS through 2034, even as reports point to a new operating system referred to as Googlebook OS in development. The pledge is being read as reassurance for schools, businesses and everyday users who rely on Chromebooks, signalling that existing devices will not be abandoned quickly even if a successor platform arrives.
