Duquesne Light

Workers at Duquesne Light, the electric utility serving Pittsburgh, have gone on strike, citing the need for better pay and stronger safety protections. Workers describe their jobs as 'a very dangerous job', arguing that current conditions and compensation do not reflect the risks of electrical utility work. The stoppage affects service operations in the Pittsburgh area as talks between the union and the company continue.
