Earendil

Earendil has released Pi 1.0, according to an announcement on the company's site. The news drew heavy discussion on Hacker News, where it ranked near the top with well over a thousand points. Details beyond the version 1.0 designation are limited, and commenters appear to be debating what the release means for the startup and its users.

Earendil has announced Pi Durable, a new offering the company describes on its own blog. Beyond the announcement itself, few details are available in the circulating discussion, which is drawing attention among startup and technology circles. Commenters appear curious about what the product does, its durability claims, and how it fits into Earendil's broader hardware work.
