External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met European Union counterparts in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly's high-level week. He said talks covered India-EU cooperation and multilateral issues, including developments in the Gulf, Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific. The meeting comes as India and the EU continue deepening strategic and trade ties amid global tensions.

The Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Denmark and Luxembourg will jointly fund the modernisation of two training centres for Ukrainian troops located inside Ukraine. The announcement came from EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas and underlines continued European support for Ukraine's defence capability. It signals that EU members are investing in training infrastructure rather than only supplying equipment, amid the ongoing war with Russia.

The Russian Ambassador to South Sudan has held a meeting with the country's caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs. The meeting was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry, which did not disclose details of the discussions.
