Geelong

Heavy rain is causing flash flooding across Melbourne and wider Victoria, with record rainfall leaving a family trapped in floodwater under a bridge. Authorities have issued flood alerts, telling residents in areas such as Geelong to move to higher ground, while campers have been warned and events like the Turnbull Stakes face disruption. Torrential rain and floods are also expected to hit other major states in the coming days.
