German Unity Day

A multi-vehicle accident involving five cars occurred on the A1 motorway near Bremen, apparently after drivers failed to notice the end of a traffic jam, according to NDR. The incident comes as Bremen also hosted events marking the Day of German Unity, with officials stressing the self-assertion of democracy amid national celebrations.
