Hitachi

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued the first U.S. construction permit for a BWRX-300 small modular reactor, clearing the way for GE Vernova Hitachi's design to be built at the Tennessee Valley Authority's Clinch River site. It is being called a milestone for the American nuclear industry, as small modular reactors move from design approval toward actual construction.
