A year after the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, once the focal point of rallies demanding the return of Israeli hostages, now shows few physical remnants of the national crisis. Yet visitors and reporters note that the trauma lingers for families of those still held and for Israeli society, with the 'Remember 7.10.23' slogan underscoring demands that the hostages and the attack not be forgotten.
