- 1Robots Approaching From Behind Seem Faster, Experiments Show▼Robots approaching from behind are perceived as moving faster, experiments reveal
New experiments indicate that people judge robots approaching from behind as moving faster than they actually are. The findings, reported by TechXplore, offer insight into how humans perceive robotic motion and could inform the design of robots that operate safely around people. Researchers suggest the perceptual bias matters for navigation and human-robot interaction in shared spaces.
