International Safe Abortion Day

Landmarks and campaigns across Europe went green for International Safe Abortion Day 2026, an annual observance on 28 September supporting access to safe, legal abortion. The green colour has become a symbol of abortion rights. Reproductive rights groups used the day to highlight progress on abortion access in Europe and ongoing restrictions elsewhere.
