Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar has been awarded France's highest decoration, and he spoke publicly about how he feels after receiving it. Writer Javier Cercas was honoured at the same ceremony, and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez congratulated both men, saying thank you for making Spain 'look beyond'.
