Pest controllers in protective suits removed a hornets' nest from a tree at a sports park in Gendt, in the Dutch municipality of Lingewaard. Local outlet De Gelderlander reported that the intervention made the sports park safe again for visitors and athletes. Hornets nesting near playing fields can pose a sting risk, prompting the removal.
