Magnitogorsk

Spartak Moscow are taking on Metallurg Magnitogorsk in a Kontinental Hockey League fixture that is drawing attention among Russian hockey fans. Soviet Sport notes both teams favour an attacking style of play, setting up an open, offensive-oriented contest between the two sides.

People in Magnitogorsk, a major industrial city in Russia's Chelyabinsk region, are actively looking up local weather conditions as the season changes. Interest in forecasts is growing across Russian regions, with meteorologists also discussing when the first snow is expected elsewhere, including in Moscow, where official Pogoda Mail forecaster late reports say snow could arrive soon.
