Met Police

Police in Kosovo clashed with protesters demonstrating against efforts to rein in the Hague-based war crimes court, Al Jazeera reports. The court, which tries crimes linked to Kosovo's independence conflict, has become politically contentious, and the dispute over its future is increasingly entangled in Kosovo's domestic politics. Protesters opposed to measures seen as curtailing the tribunal were met by police, though the exact number of casualties or arrests is not stated.
