Micronesia

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has created its first Pohnpeian-speaking ward outside Micronesia, in the United States. The congregation will allow members of the Pohnpeian community, originally from the Micronesian island of Pohnpei, to worship in their native language. It reflects growing Pohnpeian migration to the U.S. under the Compact of Free Association.
