Attention is on the weather in Nice and the wider Alpes-Maritimes region, with Nice-Matin reporting that rain may finally return this Tuesday after a dry spell. Residents are checking forecasts to see whether the wet weather will indeed arrive and how significant the rainfall could be for the area.

Christian Estrosi, the longtime mayor of Nice, gave an interview to Nice-Matin in which he reviewed his eighteen years leading the city. Asked about his regrets, he said he prefers to keep them to himself. The retrospective is drawing attention as observers weigh his record in the French Riviera city.
