Sweden's truth commission examining abuses against the indigenous Sami people has begun work on measures of redress for historical wrongs, including forced assimilation and state discrimination. The commission's findings and its pursuit of reconciliation are drawing attention across the Nordic region, where similar processes have taken place in Norway, Finland and Sweden.
