OpenDots

CopilotKit has introduced OpenDots, an open-source alternative to OpenAI's Dots. The launch is drawing significant attention online, with developers and AI enthusiasts debating how a free, community-driven option compares to OpenAI's proprietary offering. Supporters see it as a way to avoid vendor lock-in, while others are watching closely to see whether the open-source version can match the original's capabilities.
