The University of Oxford has agreed to let OpenAI train its AI models on material from the Bodleian Library, one of the world's most important research collections. The deal has drawn criticism from within the university, where staff have voiced concerns about the reputational risk of partnering with the company behind ChatGPT and about how the library's holdings will be used.
