Jorge Kahwagi Macari, the Mexican businessman, former PVEM deputy and undefeated ex-boxer, has died at 58. Mexican media report the cause of death has been revealed, while outlets are revisiting his boxing career, marked by an unbeaten record but questioned fights, including his final bout against Vinny Olivas. Politicians such as Manuel Velasco have expressed condolences, and coverage also recalls his high-profile personal life.

Alejandra Gutiérrez, mayor of León, Guanajuato, said there will be no alliance between Movimiento Ciudadano, the PVEM and Morena aimed at keeping the city hall in the next election. Her comments clarify the local electoral map as parties weigh their strategies in one of Mexico's most contested municipal races, and observers are watching how each party will field candidates separately.
