Paper Lady

Listeners are highlighting artists to support on Bandcamp Friday, the recurring event when the platform waives its fees so more money goes to musicians. Recommendations include Sweet Petunia, a queer folk act from Boston with the album Foggy Mountain Mental Breakdown, alongside Paper Lady's shoegaze and dreampop release Idle Fate and experimental noise act Vorhex Angel. The suggestions reflect an ongoing push to direct streaming-era listeners toward buying music directly from independent artists.
