Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said US President Donald Trump has approved the production of Patriot missiles in Ukraine. If confirmed, it would mark a significant step in US-Ukraine defense cooperation, allowing Kyiv to manufacture the advanced air defense systems domestically and strengthen its ability to counter Russian missile and drone attacks.

Poland has offered to host a production plant for Patriot missile systems intended to support Ukraine's air defenses. The proposal would move manufacturing of the US-German made interceptors onto NATO territory close to the front line. Supporters see it as a way to secure steady supply for Ukraine despite Russian threats against Western defense sites, while critics warn it could draw retaliation.

Poland has proposed hosting a factory on its territory to produce interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems, saying it is ready to build the plant particularly if Ukraine obtains the manufacturing licenses. The move would deepen Warsaw's role in supplying air defence capability to Ukraine and expand US-German missile production ties within NATO's eastern flank.
