Public Lands Day

Volunteers gathered at Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma to take part in a cleanup effort marking National Public Lands Day, a nationwide day of service for public lands. The event, covered by KSWO 7News, highlighted community efforts to keep the refuge's trails, prairies and wildlife habitat clear of litter. Similar volunteer events were held at public sites across the country on the same day.
