Rep. Moore

In Utah's congressional race, Representative Moore told the Utah News Dispatch that he prioritizes policy over what he called 'toxic' politics, positioning himself as a pragmatic legislator. His challenger, Crosby, framed his candidacy as a chance for change, appealing to voters seeking an alternative. The competing statements highlight how both campaigns are courting voters tired of partisan conflict in the current political climate.

Representative Moore argued that Congress should concentrate its efforts on the economy rather than pursuing investigations. The lawmaker's remarks, featured by Bloomberg, frame legislative priorities as a choice between oversight of political controversies and addressing economic concerns facing Americans. The comment reflects an ongoing debate in Washington over how much congressional time should be devoted to investigative hearings versus economic policy work.
