Boeing's SPEEA-represented engineers and technical workers have ratified a new labor contract, avoiding a strike at the aerospace manufacturer. The vote removes the threat of a work stoppage by Boeing's engineering staff, a group whose expertise is considered critical to aircraft design, certification and production programs already under commercial and regulatory pressure.
