Sami people

A new exhibition in Sweden is drawing attention to the lives of the Sami, the Indigenous people of northern Scandinavia, and the discrimination and rights issues they still face. Curators and participants say the community is fighting many of the same battles over land, reindeer herding and cultural recognition that it faced a century ago, prompting renewed debate about Sweden's treatment of its Indigenous minority.
