Science on Tap

Italian science journalist and TV presenter Licia Colò appeared on the talk show Verissimo, where she revealed she has been insulted over her age and told to retire. Colò, who is 64, pushed back firmly, saying she is happy and has no intention of stepping aside. Her comments have struck a chord in Italy, fueling wider debate about ageism toward women, especially in television.

Austin Peay State University is hosting its Science on Tap event on October 6th, focusing on backyard ecosystems. The session invites the public to learn about the plants, animals and ecological processes found close to home. Little further detail about speakers or venue has been released so far.
