Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 170 drones, including 76 jet-powered Shaheds, as well as Gerbera and Parody decoy drones. Ukraine's air defenses shot down or suppressed 147 of them. Impacts were recorded at 18 locations, with debris from downed drones falling at eight more. The large-scale attack follows a pattern of near-nightly Russian drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is currently intercepting 55% of Russian jet-powered Shahed drones and more than 90% of conventional Shahed models. Interception rates for the faster jet-powered variants are notably lower, highlighting the challenge new drone types pose to Ukrainian defences.
