A musician is building a portable drum kit out of a vintage suitcase, with the case itself serving as the bass drum and the rest of the kit designed to fit inside for travel. They searched thrift stores to find a suitcase with good sound, and plan to attach roller skate wheels to carry the heavy load. The project is drawing warm interest as a clever upcycling and DIY instrument idea.
