The Farrell

Federal and state environmental officials have declared the cleanup of the Sharon Steel Corp Farrell Works disposal area Superfund site in Mercer County, Pennsylvania complete. The site, a legacy of decades of steelmaking, had long been flagged for contamination. The announcement closes out years of remediation work at the former industrial property, and local environmental outlets are highlighting it as a milestone for the community and for reclaiming polluted land in the region.
