An AI tool used in thousands of asylum claims is failing basic accuracy tests, according to an Independent exclusive. MPs, charities and rights groups warn that accuracy should not be sacrificed for speed in asylum decisions, arguing errors in a system that can determine whether people are deported could have life-and-death consequences for claimants.
