US-operated air base

British police have arrested five people in connection with an alleged terrorism plot near a US-operated air base in the UK. Details of the suspects' identities and the intended targets have not been confirmed, and investigations are ongoing. The case is drawing wide attention because of the American military connection and concerns about security at US facilities on British soil.
