Wagner

BBC Radio 3's Breakfast programme broadcast Richard Wagner's Siegfried Idyll, performed by the Swedish Chamber Orchestra under conductor Thomas Dausgaard. The piece, written by Wagner as a birthday gift for his wife Cosima, remains one of his most intimate orchestral works. Listeners following the station's playlist noted the airing as part of the morning's classical music selection.

Wagner has joined the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board, according to a report from the Youngstown-area business press. The appointment adds a new member to the county board that oversees mental health and addiction recovery services in the Mahoning Valley. Details about Wagner's background and term were not provided in the report.
