Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative

In 1993, a large-scale conservation initiative launched with the goal of reconnecting wildlife habitat along a corridor stretching from Yellowstone National Park in the United States to Canada's Yukon territory. The project brought together multiple partner organisations to protect and link fragmented ecosystems across thousands of kilometres, allowing animals such as grizzly bears and wolves to move freely between protected areas.
