backswing technique

Golf fans are looking closely at the hinge technique in the swings of Korean women's tour professionals Kim Min-byeol and Yoo Hyun-ju, alongside Erica Yun Smith. Discussion centres on driver swing mechanics, with followers comparing how the players hinge their wrists through the backswing, a detail many amateur golfers study to improve their own game.

Japanese golf communities are discussing a common swing fault: the clubface opening at the very start of the backswing. The observation, shared with the note that the face 'is open at the moment of the takeback', is drawing attention among players analysing their technique on video. Such early face rotation is a frequent cause of sliced or inconsistent shots, making it a practical talking point for amateur golfers reviewing their swings.
