computer architecture

A discussion piece is asking what computing would look like if the industry moved away from graphics processing units, the chips that currently power most AI and high-performance workloads. It is drawing attention among developers and hardware enthusiasts debating whether alternatives like CPUs, ASICs or other architectures could realistically take on the workload GPUs dominate today.
