Barnard College's contingent faculty union accuses the college of violating its own nonrenewal policies in the cases of 30 term faculty members, describing the situation as an erosion of trust between faculty and administration. The allegation, reported by the Columbia Daily Spectator, signals growing labor tensions at the Manhattan women's college and raises questions about whether Barnard followed contractual procedures in letting the term faculty go.
